2013 End of year reflection

(1)  The highlights for me this year is camp because camp was very fun we played cool games and did fun activities.

(2)  What I am looking foward to next year in doing harder maths work and learning how to do new things.

(3)  What I want to be remembererd by in 10 years time is a funny and clever person and a caring person too.

(4)  My goals for 2014 are being more kind and always listen to the teachers.
                                           
                                              

Mad scientest day

For science I did a lava lamp the lava lamp was green. Lava lamps are pretty easy to make all you need is water, olive oil, salt food colouring. It was fun to make.

• First you need to put water into a bottle.

• Next add salt about 3 big spoons

• Add food colour not to much and mot a little bit

• Do not shake 

Ooblick

On the 18th-11-2013 Room15 made a yucky ewwy thing called Ooblick. Ooblick is very fun to make . The things you need for the Ooblick is Corn flour and water (food colouring is optional) have fun making it. ;)

Hiwi The Kiwi Show

On the Wednesday 6th of November a man named Minstrel and his wife Mrs Minstrel from the Hiwi The Kiwi show came into our school (vardon school). When they were here  they were teaching us some facts about fishing. he made up a song of his own call Kai Moana (food from the sea)  hes a very good rymer. When the fish are big you shouled put them back and when they are under 27 and a half cm you should put them back so they can grow. Save some fish for the future!!! 

The Trouble Maker

When Daisy got home all she wanted to do was to open up the book. She thought about what Mr Linda was lying but he wasn’t he was telling the truth.

Daisy was going to open the book and felt a bit scared but she opened the book up and her soul get sucked out of her into the book and vines were coming out of the book. All she needs is the magic words to save her. At last Mr Linda has found a magic person named Steven Frayne known as Dynamo. Linda asked Dynamo if he know the magic word but they were to hard for him he had to know them A.S.A.P (As soon as possible)

Assembly

Room 15 had a assembly on science and mine craft. we started off with the national anthem. The host were La-Eequah and Miko. We introduced mine craft to the school. We use maths in mine craft. We sang a song the worlds greatest by R kelly. We love doing narratives in class so Sarah Miller & Kenley shared narrative stories. We sang ko tinana ki roto and then the scientific method song. Then Mrs Anderson presented the class award to room 7

Speechs

Last week on the 18th of september I shared my speech on culture and me. I was talking about things I do in my life and what I want to become when I grow older. In my speech I wanted to be a chinese so I can be good at karate. The hard thing I need to improve on is more eye contact and way more expression.

Culture presentation

My culture is all about Matariki. I choose because i like to learn mew facts and idea on the Maori new year. In our group there was Aria and Rihari. We worked together  and searched for some interesting thing about Matariki. I was working a poster and the questions and answers Aria was working on all the facts Rihari was finding photos. When we were finished we presented in front of the class and felt proud to score 14 points.

Cross country

For cross country we ran at minogue park. Cross country is very hard because you have to run up hill run in dirty mud and you fell like your going to come last but I didn't. For cross country I came fifth it was tiering I collapsed at the end of the race and I was proud of myself making it into the top five.

kapa haka

Kapa haka is cool because you can sing loud and learn more about Maori. We do some songs for Maori and preform all the songs we learn. Our tutor are Matua Shaun and Whaea Kiri they are very loud and funny but sometimes grumpy. I like kapa haka and want to grow up to be like Matua Shaun.

Cross Country Training

Cross country is on TOP!!!

For cross country i have set a goal for myself running ten laps maximum.
Every cross country i try and run 10 laps when my leg is sore i run 4 laps or more each time
I want to try and finish the second sheet and get on to the third sheet.

I cant wait for cross country.

Term 2 reflection

My responsibilities were milk moniter, kapa haka and to set up gymnastics.
The thing i enjoyed:was the trasion show, the name art andthe pizza party.
 the goals i did for term 3:was algebra, writing procedures and working out my decimals faster.
 The things i found hard was:decimals, the costume and poems new learning for me is writing explanations doing my decimals and playing maths buddy.
The thing we have did is:kapa haka,disco and very cool art work.

The Rusty gate creaked

THE RUSTY GATE CREAKED

One day I went for a little adventure. Then I saw a weird mail box by a rusty old gate. When I was looking at the gate I saw something weird. I took a photo of the gate and took it home to find out what it really was and that thing that likes to hang around it. But it was only a gate but just not a gate with a... GHOST, that was scary. I went up to it creaked then but I wasn’t that scared but the creak sounded a bit loud then the weird ghost killed me.

Waste to wow...

At the trashion show we performed in front of adults and children. For our performance all the classes performed in glowing costume some of them were outrageous. The best were ones under the UV lights. Our costume of course was the best but i didn't wear it i was a juggler the best juggler. Kori, Rihari and I juggled and every one else used like little hoolahoops and plastic plates but not us. At first the performers went on to the music i was one of them. Then next the costumes went on. The 1st costume was circ tenter then polka dot clown then ringsition then MUSCLE MAN then balancing beauty then pop corn Lu Lu girl then TROUBLE SUM trapeze then the amazing glowing juggling jumper. At the end all costumes and performers went to go and celebrate our WOW project on the stage. THE END

Waste to Wow

This is me when we were making first part of our garment. The thing on my arm is for the muscles because our project is a muscle man. We are nearly finished. The model is Miko and im the dancer we traded places.

Gym routines

This video is a gym video of me and Kori. We worked with La-Eeqah Manaia and Sarah we took turns. Kori and I started off  with a front roll and did a little hand shake and then we back rolled, we did a hand stand went down, went up to each other and I did a one  hand out kick hand stand. we had to do five gymnastic move maximum. We all had fun doing gym sport from the start until now.

I had $47 and I spent $25. Then my mum gave me $32 dollars how much money do I have left?
There where 6 bee hives and 6 bees inside of  each how many bees were all together?

WASTE TO WOW

On Monday the 13th Room 15 and 14 went to the museum. At the museum we went in this lecture theatre and had a talk about all the costumes. After we talked about the costumes Room14 went out side and looked at all the costumes and Room 15 stayed in the hall and looked at a video.We did some shapes . When room14 came in we went outwe had a look at some costumes and saw some that were on  video. After we looked at all the costumes we got to sketch them. After we sketched them we went back in the hall and made some hats out of paper. Some of our hats were turned out amazingly. The best hats had lots of cuts in them so that the light could get through.

How did thw war start?

The Second World War was rather more straightforward: no questions there who did what and who was at fault.

Why did they make ANZAC day?

So it can make all people and some soldiers remember all the soldiers that died.

Shooting

Shooting was loud and banging in my ear. Shooting feels like a legend. Shooting looks like a gun but easier and cooler to use just not for people. Shooting lights up my world...
