  1. Use tidy numbers and


  2. Use place value & splitting


92-49=43


1. 92+1 49+1 93-50=43


2. (92-40=)(52-9=43)



84-38=46



  1. 84+2 38+2 86-40=46


  2. (84-30=54)(54-8=46)
