My last post for 2011

I am I liked doing all of my art with MrsN and MrsD. The Ngaruawahia picnic was cool there was a hydro slide every thing I liked it. Those are my favourite memories.

Writing

Christmas is a big feast and presents are given to people.

Athletics

Yesterday we done athletics on the field, first we did high jump
and I came fourth. We went to 60 mtr, 200 mtr, 100 mtr, distance throw,
project energize then last we done long jump. We done our relay, we won yay. I was so excited

Reading

to throw we got to aim get steady and throw.

I can throw properly and make it go long.

I need to work on to aim higher.

Athletics

We are learning to do high jump and learn more skills.
In long jump you need to jump high to get further.
In throwing you have to do the same as what you have to do in shot put, aim and throw.
In 100 metre sprint you run as fast as you can.

Halloween

Halloween was celebration for the for the day of the dead.

Can and Christan celebrated Halloween first in America. Halloween was first evented in 1567.
playing lots of pranks to people just to get candy.

Church people was not allowed to go trick or treating.

Teachers

Teachers teach you Things like maths, writing, reading and other stuff. teachers take care of you. teachers are sometimes nice and growl. My favourite teachers Mrs Burke because she lets us play games every time. I like Mrs D because we play activities with us. I like Mrs Gunn and Mr Marquand.

Computers

Computers make you learn and you can play games and watch movies and go on your blog and find information about people. You can go on face book and bebo at home and you can get photos.

You learn your maths and print out stuff like maths. You can find did you know facts on the computers.

Procedural Writing

Making Jelly

Goal:To make jelly

Ingrediants:

  Jelly sachet

  Bowl

  Spoon

  Hot water

Steps:

1. 
   
   Rip the jelly packet open.


2. 
   
   Put the jelly sachet in the bowl.


3. 
   
   Measure 2 cups of hot water.


4. 
   
   Pour all 2 cups of hot water in the bowl.


5. 
   
   Stir the mixture until the jelly christals dissolve.


6. 
   
   Put the jelly in the fridge to set.


7. 
   
   Eat and enjoy.

My goal is to use capital letters at the starting of my sentence.

I solved these problems by using my place value.

On Wednesday we do current events. There are my news, newspaper news, did you know fact, book selling, my treasure.
I am on my news next week.

Healthy drinks

Yesterday a girl named Millie from project energize came to talk to us about healthy drinks and unhealthy drinks. Millie put out 8 drinks on the floor and we had to make a circle and and we had to pick a drink but we were not allowed to pick the same drink. We had to put them in order it was water, milk, cordial, flavoured water, V, can coke, big coke, e2.

Perserverance

This term our big idea is perserverance.

Perserverance means keep on trying on things and never giving up.

Sometimes I persevere on soccer when I get pushed over.

I perservere with my rugby when I got hurt.

Reflection on term 2

I liked maths and winter sport because i liked soccer and ripper rugby.
I learnt when the time was.
I found challenging that the time when it is 7:57 or like 9:49.

Next term I want to learn about the rugby world cup 2011 and I want to learn more maths.

Basketball

Last week we played basketball for winter sport. We learnt how to dribble and to throw and pass also we learnt how to swing the ball under our legs. What i liked about was the game we played and it was fun. The thing that was hard was the race because we kept on losing.

Soccer

We practiced how to play soccer. I learnt that you had to kick the ball on your side I learnt how to dribble.I liked soccer but the thing that was hard was to get a goal

Bridges

Maia, Boston and I made a truss bridge. First we made the triangles and then made the track. Maia drew the lines for the tracks. We showed room2 our bridge and we did our speech.

It was easy to make because Miss Stevens helped.

Solar oven

We are making solar oven. First we got our pizza boxes and we put black paper and tin foil on it. We got our bread and put our mimite and cheese on our bread.

We are making solar oven. When we are finises we went to go and put it out side marmite and cheese and put them in pizza box and made them into solar ovens.
